Law School Admission Test Fee Waiver

If you are planning to apply to law schools and need to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), but are unable to pay for the test, you may be eligible to receive a fee waiver.

To qualify for a fee waiver, you must:

  • be a US, Canadian, or Australian citizen;
  • be a US national;
  • be a permanent resident alien of the United States with an Alien Registration Receipt Card (I–151 orI–551);
  • have been granted deferred action under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); or
  • have applied for deferred action under DACA.

Medical School Fee Waiver

If you are planning to apply to medical schools and need to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), but are unable to pay for the test, you may be eligible to receive a fee waiver by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).

To qualify for a fee waiver, you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident (LPR) of the United States (“Green Card” holder), or have been granted refugee/asylum or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.
  • In 2016, you will be granted fee assistance if each household reported on your application has a 2015 total family income that is 300 percent or less than the 2015 national poverty level for that family size.

PhD Application Fee Waiver

The IHS recently announced their PhD Application Fee Waiver program, which provides awards of up to $300 to help students apply to graduate school programs.I contacted IHS earlier this fall semester and learned that this opportunity is open to undocumented students! This opportunity is available to undergraduates and recent graduates applying for full-time doctorate programs starting in the 2017-18 academic year. Here are a few additional requirements:Scholarships/Becas

  • Show a demonstrated interest in focusing your studies on individual liberties and economic freedom.
  • Programs you are applying to should be in the humanities and social sciences.
  • Programs that you are applying to must be in the U.S. to be eligible for the application reimbursement.
